Digital Tv

Digital tv is an advancement to traditional analog tv. In analog, each tv station was assigned its own frequency for broadcast in a region. With increase in number of tv channels, it became hard to assign frequencies and not cause interference. This lead to increase radio waves which is a form of pollution. They also increase air navigation interference.
Technology has improved and new methods of multiplexing energed. This lead us to digital tv broadcast. Tv channels share frequencies using suitable multiplexing method. Since the signals are compressed and encoded, a decoder must be present for one to be able to view the channel.
In Kenya, we use DVB-T2 (Digital Video Broadcasting – Second Generation Terrestrial ). This us an advancement to the old digital broadcast. With digital broadcast you don't have to keep turning your tv aerial any time you change channels. Just make sure you set it facing the signal source. Its good to have a qualified person do it. If you can receive one channel, it means u can also receive all the other channels.
